The global E-waste pile is a growing concern, with millions of tons generated annually. In India alone, approximately 90% of electronic and electrical equipment (WEEE) is improperly dismantled by the unorganized sector, posing risks due to the mishandling of hazardous materials. In contrast, the organized sector employs advanced and eco-friendly technology that not only safeguards stakeholders’ health but also recovers valuable materials from the E-waste.
